Developed by the Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network and CHTA’s CAST, the manual provides guidance to businesses, developers, and governments on mitigating and managing coastal nesting habitats for sea turtles. Recommendations are provided for the pre-construction phase, building setbacks, coastal lighting, beach cleaning and restoration, erosion control, vegetation and landscaping, and the operation of marine vessels near nesting beaches, explaining in each case the linkages between actions taken and potential impact realized.
